Dear Captain,

I didn't know it'd take me so long to realize how great a person and how loving a human being my world has been privileged to have you. Therefore today, in your honor allow me to say as follows;

Thank you for loving me even when I doubted myself.
Thank you for making me realize that true love exists.
Thank you for helping me through college and for paying for my tuition, books, allowances etc.
Thank you for supporting my choice of what course to take when everybody else thought it was odd.
Thank you for loving my children unconditionally and for being concerned about them.

If I ever was ungrateful, and I know I have, I'm sorry. And I mean it.


This ship didn't sink because you were always concerned about it.
May God never leave your blessings to be delivered at a later date.
